The Image 3 bed extension is available to extend the mattress platform. The bed has two safety catches on both sides of the foot section.

Turn the catches by 90 degrees to unlock the system and pull the footboard out as far as required.

Bed extension measurements:

  • 100 mm
  • 220 mm
  • 305 mm

Locate the wire retainer under the mattress and adjust to the extension position. The wire retainer is used to support the extended end of the mattress for the Image 3 bed.

Turn the safety locks back by 90 degrees to lock the footboard in place.

Check both locks to ensure the footboard is locked properly. In the event of incorrect closure, move the footboard until the locking point is reached. Pull the mattress towards the foot end of the bed to utilise the benefits of the mattress in the delicate heel area. The area underneath the head can be filled in with a block of foam to ensure the patient's comfort and safety.
