The Image 3 bed brake alarm prevents patient falls with the unbraked bed. Usually, nursing staff/carers can work on many things around them and are often working under pressure. To help reduce such risks, the Image 3 brake alarm warns when the bed is not securely braked, helping keep the patients in bed safe.

To avoid adverse events such as falls, the Linet beds offer a brake alarm which is activated when the bed is plugged into the mains and the brakes are not on. It warns with an audible signal to not forget to brake the bed, or to unplug the power cable when leaving the room to avoid pulling on the plug with the bed and eventually damaging the sockets.
