During emergency when CPR is required, to activate CPR mode press and hold the CPR button on the multiboard X control panel or on the accessory control panel (ACP).

Rest assured, if the bed is equipped with the integrated mattress Opticare X, it will also deflate as the bed flattens and lowers in height. The mattress deflation guarantees a firm base for immediate and effective resuscitation in the CPR Mode.

Note: It is not necessary to use the CPR board, but please follow your hospital protocols.

When CPR button isn't pressed, the bed will stop any movement and adjustment, however, mattress deflation will continue.

There is a 60-minute time limit for the CPR mode counted down at the bottom of the mattress setting screen. 

Activated CPR is visible on the home screen with the CPR icon.

Reset the 60-minute time limit anytime during countdown, or completely cancel CPR mode with the “CPR cancel” button. 

At the end of the timer, or when CPR mode is cancelled, the mattress will automatically inflate and switch to the last used mode.

To speed up mattress deflation, Opticare X also can be deflated via the manual CPR option. The manual CPR option ensures a speedy deflation and can be found towards the head of the bed on either side. Twist the red valve to the right to activate, or twist to the left to close the valve. 

Ensure manual CPR valves are closed before inflation to prevent trigger of the “Mattress inflation failure” alarm/error.
