Multicare X Integrated Mattresses can be connected to the Multicare X bed platform in minutes, offering superior comfort and convenience.

• Place the mattress on the Multicare X bed platform.
• To connect the mattress, locate the air pipes at the end of the bed, the air pipes connect to the System Control Unit. The pipes will attach with a “click” as an audio indicator. Note: Be sure to color-code the pipes to the system control unit ports as you go.
• For additional security, the mattress can be attached securely to the mattress platform with straps found at the head and foot ends of the bed.
• Double-check valves are closed. These can be found on both sides of the mattress.
• Mattress connection can be checked via the multiboard X screen. Multicare X detects the mattress automatically starting inflation. This inflation process can take up to 10 minutes, depending on how much air is in the mattress. “Optimize” mode will be selected by default and the picture of the mattress will turn green.
• Before even placing the patient on the newly set up bed, perform the “New Patient Procedure” to start and calibrate bed settings. 
• Place the patient in the middle of the bed. Note: Follow navigation marks on the head and footboard, and on the side rails. 
• The patient's presence on the bed initiates the optimisation process.
• To disconnect the mattress from the bed platform, release the mattress straps and disconnect all air pipes. To pull out the pipes, press the grey buttons and the pipes should come out easily. Note: Don't panic. The screen will show "Mattress Disconnected" when all the connections are released, with the mattress disconnection alarm.
• To cancel/stop the alarm, press the alarm icon and the “MATTRESS LOG OUT” icon.
• Remove the mattress from the bed.
