The mattress tile on the home screen lets you access the information you need to make a more informed decision about the Opticare X Mattress.

The integrated mattress mode offers four (4) fully automatic modes - OPTIMIZE, MOBILE, PRONE, MAX for maximum pressure injury prevention. The modes and controls cooperate fully with the bed, for example, an optimal mattress setting can be achieved with a touch of a button.

Always perform the New Patient procedure to prepare the bed. Learn about the New Patient procedure with this video.

Optimise mode is for unconscious, immobile patients, and provides maximum immersion and envelopment to ensure optimal pressure redistribution under the patient. Pressure can be adjusted under comfort settings, as needed.

Mobile mode is for more mobile and conscious patients, and provides a less immersive surface to encourage more independent movement from the patient and improved comfort.

Prone mode is for patients in prone position, and does not provide optimisation in order to prevent extubation of the patient, and to prevent the breathing hoses from twisting or kinking. Prone mode enables optimal pressure redistribution under the patient is automatically adjusted for ensured support, better than supine position. Prone mode provides support even for carers to easily care for a prone patient.

Max mode for moving and handling patients, for certain medical procedures such as physiotherapy and bed to bed transfers. Maximum air pressure provides maximum stability, and minimal therapeutic effects. After 30 minutes, the mattress will automatically switch back to the last used mode.
