Among the many ways to control the Multicare X bed, it is possible to control the bed via the handset.

The handset contains basic controls such as the following:

1. Green GO button to activate the bed
2. Backrest up and down
3. Knee break up and down
4. Height adjustment up and down
5. Auto contour button

Note: The height adjustment button on the handset may not be available for some.

Locked features on the accessory control panel will have LED lights illuminated on the handset to prevent confusion. 

If needed, the handset also offers a torch/flashlight feature.

For patient comfort, and for the handset to be used by both right and left-handed patients, the handset can be plugged into the bed from both sides.
