Gain an understanding of how to configure the Multicare X Home Screen settings to get the most out of your device.
The multiboard X LCD screen is the main control point for Multicare X. The control screen through the home screen allows easy navigation to different functions for the bed.
The navigation tiles lead to different bed functions and a status bar for alerts, critical functions, and important notifications.
Other information, options, and controls found on the status bar include:
- On the top left of the status bar is the home screen icon located at the top left, and a three-dot icon for the local menu with additional icons for general settings, help, new patient, and on or off buttons for patient controls and undercarriage lights. Note: Press various buttons such as positioning, scales, Automatic Lateral Therapy (ALT), to show patient history for these selective functions via the three-dot icon.
- In the middle of the status bar, shows bed exit alarm status and mattress status.
- On the top right of the status bar are battery, plug-in, time and date.
Other advanced options and controls can be easily accessed by pressing tiles, such as:
- Positioning - to access advanced positioning settings, for example, the ideal ICU position of the bed, lowest height, and backrest position at 30 degrees.
- Scales - for patient weight information, pressing the tile shows scales options. Discreet mode hides patient weight.
- Mattress - for Multicare X equipped with an integrated mattress, pressing the tile gives access to mattress information and adjust advanced functions.
- Locks - for lock-out settings
- Bed Exit Alarm - indicates alarm activation status and settings. Note: This also shows up on the status bar on any screen.
- Automatic Lateral Therapy (ALT) - for selected programs that provide access to the ALT screen.
The time it takes for the LCD screen to automatically return to the home screen is 3 minutes but this can be adjusted further or switched off under global settings.
