How To | Multicare X - Trendelenburg/Reverse Trendelenburg
Discover the benefits of using a Multicare X Trendelenburg or Reverse Trendelenburg for improved patient comfort and care.
Multicare X Trendelenburg and Reverse Trendelenburg options enable easy patient positioning for optimal comfort and medical care.
In case of an emergency, use the emergency Trendelenburg button, located on the head side rail or on the accessory control panel (ACP). The emergency Trendelenburg button flattens the bed, and puts the patient's body in a feet up, head down position, or reverse in a feet down, head up position.
- The Trendelenburg head down position may be the first choice during patient collapses often connected with lowered blood pressure, or also often used during central venous catheter insertions to prevent air embolism.
- The Reverse Trendelenburg feet down position is also offered as the second choice using the Trendelenburg button and the reverse Trendelenburg button located on the positioning screen in Multiboard X and on ACP.
The Trendelenburg/Reverse Trendelenburg function tilts the bed head down or up, and the bed profiling remains the same. These positions help increase patient comfort, as well as individual settings in specific situations.
