The Eleganza 5 bed has an examination position which is used as the easiest most ideal way of transitioning to an ergonomic flatbed position from another position, e.g., cardiac chair position, etc. Many nursing procedures are done in a horizontal position with proper height adjustment.

To initiate the examination position, briefly press then press and hold the examination button on the foot pedal. The examination position will flatten the bed and put it in the highest position at the same time.

With the help of the foot controls, the carer or the nurse is able to and has immediate control over changing bed positions and frees their hands to help and further oversee patient care.
