The Eleganza 5 Ergoframe/Autocontour feature is a two-pivot point frame design that reduces patient migration to the foot section of the bed, improves pressure redistribution, and envelopment by widening the sacral area when elevating the head and knee sections simultaneously.

To begin repositioning on the Eleganza 5, simply follow the instructions below:

• Press the green GO button.
• Press and hold the autocontour button located on the iBoard panel until the desired bed position is achieved. Note: When raising both the backrest and knees simultaneously, this prevents patients from sliding downwards while in bed.
• Check that both backrest and knees are raised together to reduce shear and friction forces.
• Using the autocontour buttons located on either side rail or on the patient's handset of the Eleganza 5, the patient can also adjust positioning accordingly for added comfort.
