Eleganza 2 is able to help both the patient and carer to conduct an in-bed Passive Leg Raise Test.

A passive leg raise test is a non-invasive test that assesses fluid responsiveness. The procedure is performed in accordance with sepsis guidelines.

The bed usually starts in the vascular position when the carers or nurses conduct the passive leg raise test.

From the vascular position - learn more about the Eleganza 2 - Vascular Position here, press the green GO button then press and hold the reverse Trendelenburg button until the patient is sat up to approximately 45°. Note: The tilt can and will be adapted according to the doctor's needs.

Next, use the grey Trendelenburg button to achieve a horizontal position of the patient's torso.

Additionally, press the backrest down button if needed to lower the backrest and the patient's body any further.

To go to a flat position, the easiest way is to press the examination position button.
