Extending the mattress platform, the Eleganza 2 has two safety catches that prevent the extension from sliding out too far and provides a secure and reliable platform.

The safety catches are on both sides of the bed on the foot section. Turn the catches by 90° to unlock the system, and pull the footboard out as far as required. 

The bed extensions go from 150mm or 320mm in length. 

Ensure the wire retainers are also adjusted, these are located under the mattress and help with support and stability along with preventing the extension from moving. 

Turn both safety locks back again by 90° when the preferred length is reached, ensuring the bed extension is secure, safe for use, and locked properly.

There is a chance of an incorrect closure, so it is essential to make sure the fittings are securely attached to avoid a potentially hazardous situation. Check by moving the footboard until the locking point is reached. 

When all adjustments are complete, pull the mattress towards the foot end of the bed for an extended sleeping space, taking advantage of the additional space and utilising the benefits of the mattress in the delicate heel area. Furthermore, fill in and use a block of foam underneath the head.
