The main objective of conducting a Passive Leg Raise Test with the Eleganza 1 is to examine and allow assessment of fluid responsiveness.

The passive leg raise test is an easy non-invasive procedure that can be completely performed in accordance with sepsis guidelines, while the patient is in bed, with the ACP Accessory Control Panel, allowing all the movements necessary.

When doing the passive leg raise test, nurses or carers start in the vascular position, press the green GO button to start then press and hold the GREY Trendelenburg button until the patient is sat up to approximately 45 degrees. Next, press and hold the Reverse Trendelenburg and tilt the bed to achieve a horizontal position of the patient's torso. Additionally, press the backrest down button to adjust and further lower the patient's body as needed. Lastly, press the examination position button for the easiest way to go into a flat position.
