The Eleganza 1 has Trendelenburg or Reverse Trendelenburg features to be used in case of an emergency or general adjustment. The Trendelenburg and Reverse Trendelenburg buttons can all be found on the Accessory Control Panel or ACP of the Eleganza 1 bed.
Red Trendelenburg Button
The red Trendelenburg button should be pressed to flatten the bed and to put the patient's head lower than the feet. This position is the first choice during patient collapses often connected with lower blood pressure, among other indications. The Trendelenburg position is also used during central venous catheter insertion to prevent air embolism.
Grey Trendelenburg/Reverse Trendelenburg Buttons
The Eleganza 1 offers the grey Trendelenburg and Reverse Trendelenburg buttons to easily adjust the position of the bed. The grey buttons tilt the bed head up or down with the profile remaining the same. These options among other individual settings can be adjusted accordingly and can help improve patient comfort in specific situations.
