Eleganza 2 has a central brake to activate and deactivate the bed brakes.

Three positions for the Eleganza 2 brakes:

  1. Stop - brakes are activated, engaged - not possible to move the bed forward or in any direction.
  2. Neutral - all castors are unbraked - it is possible to move the bed in every direction.
  3. Go - one castor is steering - it is possible to move the bed, the fifth castor is activated, not possible to move sideways.

The Eleganza 2 bed brakes offer superior control over the bed's motion for safety and comfort, as well as carer convenience and prevent work-related musculoskeletal disorders or injuries.
