How To | Multicare X - Controls Overview
Learn more about how to effectively control Multicare X through its various control options.
Multicare X beds can be operated through various options found on the multiboard X control panel.
Green Go button is the main function to activate all Multicare X bed controls. Note: Bed operation is automatically deactivated after three minutes (or 10 minutes in the U.S.) of non-use for safety. If there's a need to control the bed after deactivation, simply press the green go button again to activate.
The multiboard X is the control panel and LCD touchscreen that works as the main control of the bed. Found on the head side rail on both sides of the bed, multiboard X may seem to be situated at an angle, this is intentional and can be easily adjusted by the carer.
When the head of the bed is adjusted to 30 degrees, which is the clinically recommended position for respiratory complication prevention, the LCD touchscreen display and keyboard with the important emergency functions are all accessible, easy to reach, at an ideal height, and optimal angle for view and control.
Other options to control the Multicare X bed include:
- Accessory control panel - a wired control panel that can be placed all around the bed.
- Foot pedals - for bed control, height adjustment, examination position, lateral tilt, bed flat and low position. These enable hands-free manipulation and adjustment when unable to use hands to limit sterility or contamination risks.
- Handset/Integrated controls - enables the patient to adapt basic positions and configurations for individual comfort and support.
