The Eleganza 5 Cardiac Chair position allows for a full upright orthopneic position for better chest expansion and to assist in early mobility.

To put the Eleganza 5 bed in a cardiac chair position, do the following:

First, ensure that all side rails are up.

Next press the green GO button, then press and hold the cardiac chair button until the bed reaches the desired height and position.

The chair button is located both on the iBoard panel and the ACP or Accessory Control Panel for maximum convenience.

Note: The foot section will automatically retract inward and the bed will continue to move into position both for patient and equipment safety.

For patient comfort, the bed can be adjusted by lowering the head of the bed, knee, or foot sections. It is also possible to adjust the overall angle of the bed with the Trendelenburg or reverse Trendelenburg buttons without removing the cardiac chair position.
