Molly Heel is available in different sizes. Choosing the correct size is very important for the function of the product.

Place a heel protection in Size Medium on the leg, always use a gauze bandage between the Molly Heel and the skin.

Molly Heel is produced from visco-elastic foam, which means it will take about 15-20 minutes until the foam has adjusted to the load and it is possible to decide if it is the correct size.

Check the distance between the heel and the mattress, this should be approximately 2cm.

If the distance is more than 2cm, change to size Small, if the distance is less than 2cm, change to a size Large

It is also possible to measure the user’s leg to decide the correct size:

    • Leg Length: 780-850mm = Size Small
    • Leg Length: 860-945mm = Size Medium
    • Leg Length: 1020-1030mm = Size Large

The leg length here is the distance between the anterior iliac crest (Spina iliac anterior superior) to the inner malleoli (medium malleoli)

    USAGE:

When the user lies on the side, the Molly Heel should be rotated so that the opening is facing the mattress in order for the height to be correct.

When preventing crossing the legs, Molly Heel should be placed on the healthy leg.

    IMPORTANT:

Molly Heel is to be fastened loosely around the leg ; it must be able to rotate. We always recommend the use of gauze bandage between Molly and the skin.
