How To | Latera - Foot Pedals
Learn how to make the most of Latera foot pedals, practical hands-free controls for the bed.
The Latera Foot Pedals are practical options to control the bed without the direct use of hands. Control the operation of the bed and its functions, with the help of the foot-controlled pedals. The nurse has immediate contact with the patient and can see or react if anything happens (both for patient and carer safety).
The foot controls also enable carers to keep things sterile, especially when in a sterile environment for example, there's no need to change gloves because the bed position, among other features, can be adapted and adjusted hands-free.
Two types of foot control pedals available with Latera beds include:
- Height adjustment and Examination position
- Lateral tilt and green GO button
To activate the foot pedals simply press the green GO button on the Accessory Control Panel (ACP) or press the foot pedal twice. The bars over the pedals and controls stop any unintentional activation and movement.
