Stop Neutral Go

The Latera beds have patient and carer safety in mind with its central brake system.

To activate or deactivate the brakes, check the braking system which is always located at the foot end of the bed, easy to locate, and easy to use.

The brake has three positions: Stop, Neutral, and Go.

Stop

When the brake is in stop position, this means the brakes are properly activated. When in stop position, the bed cannot be pushed and will not move in any direction. It is not possible to move the bed with the brakes in stop position.

Neutral

When the brake is in neutral position, this means all castors are unbraked. It is possible to move the bed in every direction.

Go

When the brake is in go position, this means the castors are unbraked, with one steering (which is usually the front left, or the fifth castor is activated). In the go position, the Latera bed is easier to push and manoeuvre around. In the go position, the bed cannot move sideways.
