The cardiac chair position offered by Latera is designed to be both ergonomic and comfortable. It is a full upright orthopneic position for patients and can work as part of an early mobilisation process.

To put the Latera bed in a cardiac chair position, raise all side rails first for ultimate patient safety. Press the green GO button then press and hold the cardiac chair button until the chair position reaches the highest angle or as high as the patient can comfortably tolerate.

The cardiac chair position is known to have pulmonary benefits. Adjust and lower the head of the bed to improve patient comfort, or adjust the knee and foot sections as needed. 

Utilise the cardiac chair position further for dining purposes, or use it as a breastfeeding chair.
