The Latera Examination Position is used as the easiest way to transition to an ergonomic flatbed position from another position. For example, the bed is in a cardiac chair position, with a press of the examination position button, the bed can be transformed into a flatbed ready for examinations. The horizontal position with proper height adjustment is ideal since many nursing procedures are done in this position. 

To utilitise and initiate the Latera bed Examination Position, press the green GO button first, then press and hold the examination position button until the bed changes into a flat bed position at max height. Additionally, the foot control pedals can be used to get the bed to flatten and go to the highest position at the same time, with the help of the examination position foot pedal.
