How To | Latera - Microshifting
Learn how Latera's microshifting technology can lead to smoother gear changes and maximum control on your bed.
The Latera bed lateral tilt can be performed one degree angle after another - or “microshifting” - to find that perfect position.
To start microshifting, check that the side rails are up in the direction the bed is turning, to keep the patient in bed, or to ensure the patient's overall safety. Press the go button and press the lateral tilt button to tilt the bed frame.
Lateral tilt can be controlled via the Accessory Control Panel (ACP) or the foot pedals.
Microshifting or the small increments of tilt allows for the test of haemodynamic stability which gives time to the patient to adapt to the position change over time. Advance as the patient can tolerate, or until the patient has been able to tilt far enough to turn, assess, reposition, or perform a procedure.
