How To | Image 3 - Side Rail Release
Learn how to safely and effectively release the side rail on an Image 3 bed.
The Image 3 bed has four telescopic side rails which can be raised or folded individually depending on usage.
The telescopic side rails have a double mechanism to open for patient safety. Pressing and releasing one end of the side rail will not lower the side rail and it cannot be lowered or opened from the inside. Patients are not able to lower and open the side rail while in bed and without assistance.
Opening and gaining access to the bed with the side rails down, it requires the use of both hands to press the red locking buttons under the edge of the side rails at the same time.
Ensure the side rails click into place and lock automatically for safety. Push down and fold the side rail as required. The Image 3 bed side rails have four positions or levels of locking.
