The Eleganza 5 has made weighing in-bed patients easy, with its in-bed scale.

Start the weighing process and erase all memory of the weight recorded:

• To erase all memory the patient must be out of bed.
• Press and hold the ZERO and WEIGHT CLEAR buttons simultaneously until the new patient icon appears and the countdown is complete, to reset the Eleganza 5 Scale.
• Press any green GO button to zero the scale, with the patient still out of bed.
• Check that standard linens and equipment are in place.
• Press and hold the ZERO button again on the iBoard panel of the Eleganza 5 until a beep is heard and the weight indicator flashes on the display.
• Release the button, then press again until a second beep is heard, and allow the patient on the bed.
• Wait for the stability indicator to become solid green to record the weight.

Attach or remove bed accessories without changing the patient's weight:

• Press the freeze button, until the hold icon appears on the display.
• Once the required accessories have been added or removed, the stability indicator should be solid green before pressing the freeze button again to display the original weight again.

Note: The Eleganza 5 can save up to nine different values of the patient's weight. 

When saving the patient's weight for the present/current day:

• Press and hold the memory “M” button until a beep is heard. Note: The newest value will always be saved as M1 while other values will be moved further down with saving weight. 
• Change the M1 value within the same day, press and hold the memory “M” button until the beep, release the button, and press again to confirm.
• To display the saved values, press the memory “M” button once for M1 or repeatedly for other saved values, if available.

Cancel zeroing, saving the weight, or displaying the saved value:

• Press the WEIGHT CLEAR button while the weight indicator flashes.
