When operating the Eleganza 1 bed, the examination position works as the easiest, most efficient way to transition to an ergonomic flat bed position from another position, for example, the cardiac chair position.

The examination position is used often for many nursing procedures. These are done in a horizontal position with proper height adjustment to maintain both patient and carer comfort and ergonomics.

Initiate the examination position by briefly pressing then hold and press the “EXAMINATION POSITION” button on the foot control or foot pedals. The examination position will flatten the bed while the height is being adjusted to the highest position all at the same time. Using the foot controls enables the nurse or the carer to have immediate control over the patient, with the hands free to access and adjust anything needed.
