The Eleganza 4 bed has a bed exit monitor that provides carers with up-to-date information on patient bed exit activity and accuracy, ensuring restful and safe sleep.

Note: The bed exit monitor of Eleganza 4 is off by default. Double-check the feature and turn on as needed.

Before activating the bed exit alarm, ensure the patient is properly positioned in the middle of the bed.

Press the bed exit alarm ON button on the safety monitor to activate. The alarm will always default to the most sensitive zone setting which is the inner zone with the Eleganza 4 bed.

Use the safety monitor and press the outer zone button to change the zone setting. For example, from the inner zone to the less sensitive zone setting, the outer zone.

Getting the patient out of the bed is easy. The Eleganza 4 bed exit alarm can be paused or turned off. Pause the alarm for up to 15 minutes with the pause button and safely exit the bed.

When the patient returns to bed or is comfortably in bed, the alarm will automatically reset.

To turn off the alarm, press and hold the alarm off button. The status of the bed exit will be displayed on the safety monitor digital screen.

In case the patient moves out of the selected zone, the alarm will sound and will re-arm if the patient returns within the selected zone in seven seconds.

If the Eleganza 4 bed is connected to nurse call, most nurse call systems will have to be deactivated directly by the carer via the safety monitor.

The patient must weigh at least 77lbs or approximately 35kg to engage the alarm and use Eleganza 4 bed exit monitor safely.
