For Trendelenburg or Reverse Trendelenburg, and lateral tilt, the Multicare X unique function of combined tilts provides the ability to use all three functions in combination to support therapeutic positions for advanced postural drainage, early mobilisation, and physiotherapy.

Press the “POSITIONING” tile to get to the combined tilts function of the bed. The Multicare X has a dynamic collision system always controls maximum tilts. The bed is equipped to alert the user with a pop up when reaching tilt adjustment limits for Trendelenburg, Reverse Trendelenburg, and lateral tilts.

Press the “FLAT POSITION” button to get the bed platform back to its horizontal position.

Depending on patient needs, it is possible to use combined tilts to help with rehabilitation, early mobilisation, among other uses.

When used with patient rehabilitation and mobilisation, tilts can help with strengthening core muscles while the patient is sitting at the edge of the bed. With the patient at the edge of the bed, it is possible to override Multicare X safety feature by pressing and activating side rail override mode, also referred to as transfer mode. The override allows position change and lateral tilting even with the side rails down for a maximum of five minutes and will deactivate to ensure patient safety when leaving the combined tilt screen.
