Electric Lift and Recline Mobile Shower Commode must always be repaired and maintained by qualified personnel.
Crescent Healthcare on 1300 04 05 06 demands that Electric Lift and Recline Mobile Shower Commode is checked by a qualified technician at least once a year in accordance to Crescent Healthcare service instructions. The annual service check is also recommended in the International Standard (EN/ISO 17966) Assistive products for personal hygiene that supports users.
It is the legal owner’s duty to ensure that these service checks are carried out on the product.
The following items are to be inspected during the annual check:
- Seat tilt: Actuator runs both ways. Piston is lubricated. Actuator is mounted correct. Locking ring and nuts are placed correct.
- Cables: Intact.
- Backrest and clips: Intact and securely tightened.
- Seat: Easy to remove and put back. PU surface is intact.
- Armrests and moving parts: Securely fastened, lubricated and moves easy up and down. PU surface is intact. Screws tightened (remember: Loctite if removed/loose).
- Footplates: Works up and down. Height adjustability works. Easy to remove.
- Emergency stop (Not present on all models): Works and releases again.
- Lifting mechanism: Actuator runs both ways. Piston is lubricated. Actuator is mounted correct. Locking rings are placed correct. Lifts from bottom to top with max SWL.
- Hand Control: All functions work as specified in the user guide.
- Control Box and Battery: Correctly mounted. No visible defects.
- Wheels: Wheels and brakes work. Securely fastened.
- Frame and Weldings: Must be checked for visual signs of cracks, rust or deformations.
Control box reset:
If any part of the electrical system is replaced or unplugged, e.g. actuator or control box, or the emergency lowering has been activated the system must be reset by holding the UP and DOWN button until both actuators reach their innermost position. If it is necessary to replace any parts due to wear or damage, Crescent Healthcare on 1300 04 05 06 recommends for safety reasons to use only original spare parts. Use of non-original spare parts will void the warranty.
Warranty
